Gilbert O'Sullivan - Solo Otra Vez (Naturalmente)/Alone Again (Naturally)

DE AQUÍ EN ADELANTE SI NO ME SIENTO ALGO AGRIO, ME PROMETO CONSENTIRME Y VISITAR LA TORRE QUE ESTÁ CERCA, Y SUBIR HASTA LA CIMA, ¿SERÉ CAPAZ DE LANZARME? ESTO EN UN ESFUERZO PARA ACLARLES LAS COSAS A AQUELLOS QUE QUIEREN SABER CÓMO ES CUANDO TE HACES PEDAZOS. QUEDAR EN UNA SITUACIÓN VERGONZOZA EN LA IGLESIA, DONDE LA GENTE DIGA: "DIOS MÍO, ESO HA SIDO DURO" "ELLA LO LLEVÓ A ESO, NO TIENE CASO DARLE VUELTAS, MEJOR NOS VAMOS A CASA" COMO LO HICE YO SOLO OTRA VEZ, NATURALMENTE Y PENSAR QUE APENAS AYER ERA OPTIMISTA, BRILLANTE Y FELIZ ESPERANDO CON ANSIA A QUIEN NO QUISIERA HACER EL PAPEL QUE YO IBA A DESEMPEÑAR Y COMO PARA DERRIBARME LA REALIDAD LLEGÓ. Y ASÍ, SIN MUCHO TACTO ME CORTÓ EN PEDACITOS DEJÁNDOME CONFUNDIDO, Y HABLANDO DE DIOS Y SU MISERICORDIA, SI ES QUE ÉL REALMENTE EXISTE ¿POR QUÉ ME ABANDONÓ EN MI HORA DE NECESIDAD? DE VERDAD ME SIENTO ESCÉPTICO Y SOLO OTRA VEZ, NATURALMENTE. A MÍ ME PARECE QUE EXISTEN MÁS CORAZONES ROTOS EN EL MUNDO Y QUE NO PUEDEN SER REMENDADOS QUEDAN DESATENDIDOS QUÉ LE VAMOS A HACER QUÉ LE VAMOS A HACER SOLO OTRA VEZ, NATURALMENTE MIRANDO HACIA ATRÁS LOS AÑOS QUE HAN PASADO Y CUALQUIER OTRA COSA QUE APAREZCA, RECUERDO QUE LLORÉ CUANDO MI PADRE MURIÓ SIN DESEAR JAMÁS ESCONDER LAS LÁGRIMAS Y A SUS 65 AÑOS MI MADRE, DIOS GUARDE SU ALMA JAMÁS PUDO ENTENDER POR QUÉ EL ÚNICO HOMBRE QUE HABÍA AMADO HABÍA SIDO APARTADO DE SU LADO, DEJÁNDOLA COMO AL PRINCIPIO, CON UN CORAZÓN TOTALMENTE ROTO. Y A PESAR DE LOS ÁNIMOS QUE LE DÍ NO SE HABLÓ UNA SOLA PALABRA , Y CUANDO ELLA FALLECIÓ, LLORÉ Y LLORÉ TODO EL DÍA, SOLO OTRA VEZ, NATURALMENTE.

In a little while from now If I'm not feeling any less sour I promise myself to treat myself And visit a nearby tower And climbing to the top Will throw myself off In an effort to Make it clear to who Ever what it's like When you're shattered Left standing in the lurch At a church Were people saying, My God, that's tough She stood him up No point in us remaining We may as well go home As I did on my own Alone again, naturally To think that only yesterday I was cheerful, bright and gay Looking forward to who wouldn't do The role I was about to play But as if to knock me down Reality came around And without so much as a mere touch Cut me into little pieces Leaving me to doubt Talk about, God in His mercy Oh, if he really does exist Why did he desert me In my hour of need I truly am indeed Alone again, naturally It seems to me that there are more hearts Broken in the world that can't be mended Left unattended What do we do What do we do Alone again, naturally Looking back over the years And whatever else that appears I remember I cried when my father died Never wishing to hide the tears And at sixty-five years old My mother, God rest her soul Couldn't understand why the only man She had ever loved had been taken Leaving her to start With a heart so badly broken Despite encouragement from me No words were ever spoken And when she passed away I cried and cried all day Alone again, naturally Alone again, naturally.
